Promise

Social. Urban. Nature and its local partners initiated the founding of a new women’s cooperative in the north of Ghana.
The name PROMISE embodies our social entrepreneurial approach and stands for “Product Innovation and Marketing for Self-Employment”. Part of the project are mainly young girls, that are challenged by teenage pregnancies and forced marriage, who through the support of sustainable income can get a different perspective on life. Together we use the traditional basket weaving technique of the region and reinterpret it in fresh ways.
